PETERBOROUGH — Republican presidential candidate Rudolph Giuliani blasted Hillary Clinton Sunday for saying she would, if elected, take diplomatic action before being inaugurated.
The comments were made in front of a 150-strong, mostly Giuliani-friendly crowd in a town-hall style meeting at the Peterborough Town House.

Ex-Peterborough man files for presidential race

He turned a Peterborough junkyard into a makeshift outdoor strip club.
He was a frequent litigant in the region’s judicial system, donning kangaroo and clown costumes (and sometimes both simultaneously) in court proceedings.

Pro-life Democrat is against war

The bright camera lights that followed Republican presidential hopefuls Rudy Giuliani and John McCain as they filed for the N.H. primary at the Statehouse in Concord Tuesday didn’t leave fellow candidate Henry Hewes in their shadow, Hewes said Tuesday.
Instead, they cast more of a light on him, Hewes said hours after filing his own declaration papers.
“Today was a banner day for New Hampshire,” said Hewes, 58, a New York-based housing developer and newly declared presidential candidate. “John McCain filed for president. Rudy Giuliani filed for president … and I filed for president. … This is an exciting day.”
Unlike Giuliani and McCain, the highest-profile candidates to file Tuesday, Hewes, a longtime Republican, filed as a Democrat. Read the rest of this entry »

Candidates running ads like never before

Forget “The Bachelor” and “Dancing With the Stars.” Some new stars of prime-time television are holding a competition of their own.
With primary season now hitting full stride, presidential hopefuls are taking their campaigns to the New Hampshire airwaves like never before, according to political analysts and media experts.
Over the last eight weeks, many of the leading presidential candidates have launched new television ads: Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, John McCain, Bill Richardson, Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, who is scheduled to premiere another ad today.
